Common Interactions between Aspirin and Other Medications

| B-blockers | To treat hypertension | Effects may be decreased. |
| CAIs (Diuretics) | To decrease edema (fluid buildup) | Toxication of aspirin may occur. |
| Corticosteroids | Antiinflammatory | Decreases effectiveness of aspirin. |
| Loop diuretics | To reduce fluid retention | Effects may be decreased. |
| Methotrexate | To treat certain skin conditions/cancer | Effects may be increased and excretion decreased. |
| NTG | To decrease angina (chest pain) | May result in hypotension. |
| NSAIDs | To treat inflammation, pain, fever | Effects may be decreased. |
| Spironolactone | To reduce edema | Effects may be decreased. |
| Sulfonylureas/insulin | To lower glucose (diabetes) | May increase the effects of these agents. |
| Valproic acid | To treat seizures | May decrease excretion, increasing potency of valproic acid. |
