Writing Strategies

QuestionAnswer
Ba-Da-Bing Where your feet are, What you see, What you think/feel/say. (helps improve fluency)
Thesaurus A resource to find synonyms to improve word choice.
Sensory details Adding information that relates to the 5 senses. (improves ideas and word choice)
Hamburger model A visual technique to remember paragraph structute-topic sentence, details, concluding sentence. (organization)
Transition words Words used in writing to help the paper flow such as: Also, Therefore, Next, In Summary (organization and fluency)
Word Bank A form of pre-writing where you list words and phrases that relate to your topic. (ideas and word choice)
Audience Considering who you are writing for in order to select the best word choice and to incorporate voice.
