WordDefinition
id One of the three parts of the human personality, according to Sigmund Freud; the id represents the individual's most basic drives for food, water, survival, and pleasure.
ego The strongest part of the human personality, according to Freud; helps a person be realistic, and balances the id and the superego.
superego Part of the human personality, according to Freud; the collective teachings of the society concerning right and wrong.
personality The "inner you" ; the combination of experience patterns , hereditary facrots, and enviromental factors that make every human a unique individual.
heredity The passing of characteristics form parents to children through the process of reproduction.
adaption A change in behavior to meet the needs of a changing enviroment.
enviroment A person's surroundings, including people, places, and things; the nonhereditary part of a person's personality.
