What is Exposition? It introduces the setting- the time and place of the story, and the characters.
What is Rising Action? It itroduces the conflict, or problem.

What is the Climax? It is the turning point of a story.
What is the Falling Action? It is the part of a story when the conflict lessens.
What is the Resoluion of a story? It is the story's conclution.
What is foreshadowing? It is the use of clues early in a story to hint at events that are going to happen.
How does Rikki-Tikki feel after he kills Karat? He fells pround.
What is a Metaphor? It describes on thing as if it were something "The house was a zoo this morning!"
What is Personification? It gives human qualities to something that is not human
What is a Simile? They use like or as to compare to unlike things.
What is a symbol? It is anything that represents something else.
What is Alliteration? It is the repetition of consonant sounds in the beginning of words.
What is a Narrative poem? It is poetry that tells a story in verse.
What other language can Pat Mora speak? EspaƱol (Spanish)
What is a Haiku? It is a three-line Japenese verse form. The first and third lines are 5 syllables.
What is a Lyric Poem. It is poetry that expresses the thoughts and feeling of a single speaker.
