Instinctive theory Genetics cause us to act a certain way.
Drive theory we feel compelled to act a certain way to meet our needs.
Incentive theory we do things because of external rewards
Cognitive theory we do things that help us meet our goals.
Motivation a condition that enegizes and directs behavior
intrinsically Motivated people who are self motivated & do not require rewards to behave a certain way.
Extrinsically Motivated people who react positivaly to rewards. If there are no rewards,their behavior will not likely change on its own
