Physical change it alters the form or appearance
Chemical change is when new substances are made
Chemistry a branch of science which studies matter its properties and how changes
Element substance that cannot be broken into any other substances chemical of physical matter substance that cannot be broken into any other substances chemical of physical means composed of the same type of atom and the block of matter
Atom tiny particles that make up elements or combine to make compound
Symbol one or two letters used to characterize an element
Compound a substance made of two or more elements chemically combined a specific ratio
Formula is a combination of symbols that shows the ration if elements in a compound
Mixture made from two or more substances that are combined physically
Physical change change in matter that produces a new substance or matter
Heterogeneous mixture a solid liquid or gas in which the particles can be easily seen
Homogeneous mixture a solid liquid or gas I which the substances are evenly distributed
Suspension a liquid heterogeneous mixture where solid particles more dense sink to the bottom
Colloid a liquid heterogeneous mixture where particles are not dissolve and light does not pass through it
Solution a liquid heterogeneous mixture where one substance is dissolved in a liquid particles are evenly spread out (distributied)
Solute in a solution of table salt
Solvent is the part of a solution present
Suspension is a mixture in which parties can be seen
Solution a well mixture
Colloid s a mixture with small undissolved particles
