QuestionAnswer
Wave- any disturbance that transfers energy through mattes or space
Medium a substance through a wave can travel
Reflection the bouncing back of a wave after it strikes a barrier or an object
Refraction- the bending of a wave as it passes at an angle from one medium to another
Diffraction the bending of waves around a barrier or through an opening
Interference a wave interaction that is caused when two or more waves interact
Electromagnetic waves a wave that can travel through space or matter and consists of changing electric and magnetic fields
Wave speed formula Speed= wavelength x frequency
Longitudinal waves moves by - the particles of a medium vibrate back and fourth along the path in which it travels
How do transverse waves move move across or perpendicular to the direction in which it is traveling
Waves are classified by the direction in which the particles of a medium vibrate compared to the direction in which it travels
