QuestionAnswer
Plot Events that make up a story.
Setting Time and place of story.
Climax The event near the end of the story where the conflict is sovled.
Theme A hidden message about life or human nature.
Foreshadowing The author gives readers a hint of things to come to build suspense.
Flashback Auther interrupts the story and tells about an event that happend before.
Flat Character A character who does not have many personality traits.
Round Character A character who is well-rounded with many traits.
Dynamic Character A character who undergoes a change in the story.
Static Character A character who stays the same in the story.
First Person POV the narrator of the story is a character in the story.
Third Person POV The narrator is not in the story, he is an outside observer.
Third Person Limited POV narrator is not a character but tells you the thoughts of 1 or 2 characters.
Third Person Omniscient POV The narrator is not a character but tells you the thoughts of all the characters.
Conflict The struggle between oppossing forces.
Internal Conflict Struggle with in a characters own mind.
External Conflict Struggle between characyer and an outside force.
Protagonist The main character who struggles.
Antagonist The force working against the main character.
