Nucleus Center of an atom.
Proton Positivly charged sub atomic atom.
Nuetron Nuetral Atom.
Electron negitivly charged atom.
Orbital Regions in an atom wheree electrons are likeley to be found.
Valence Electron Electron in the outermost energy level of an atom.
Periodic Law The law that states that the repeating chemical and physical properties of elements
Period The time it takes to complete a cycle or for ocillation to occur.
Group Verticle column of elements in the periodic table.
Ion An atom, radical, or molecule that has gained or lost one or more electrons.
Atomic Number The number of protons in the nuecleus of an atom.
Mass Number The sum of the number of protons and nuetrons in the nuecleus of an atom.
Isotopes An atom that has the same number of protons as other atoms of the same element do but that has a different number of nuetrons.
Atomic Mass Unit A unit of mass that describes the mass of all naturally occuring isotopes of a element.
Metal Elemt that is shiny and conducts heat and electricity well.
Non-metal Element that conducts heat and electricity poorly and that does not conduct positive ions.
