Thermal Energy The kinetic energy of the movement of atoms and molecules.
Kinetic Energy Is the energy an object it possesses because of its motion
Light Energy Energy that travels in straight lines called rays that fan outward from the source of the light
Sound Energy The energy produced by vibrations or a disturbance of energy that comes through as a matter of a wave, and that humans perceive as sound by the sense of hearing
Atom Is a basic unit of matter that consists of a dense, central nucleus surrounded by a cloud of negatively charged electrons
Molecule The smallest particle of a substance that retains all the properties of the substance and is composed of one or more atoms
Mechanical Energy The sum of potential energy and kinetic energy present in the components of a mechanical system
