FORCES

| Contact Force | Forces between objects that are in physical contact. When you push on a box, you and the box experience contact forces. |
| Force | push or a pull; classified as contact forces or non-contact forces. |
| Force Vector | magnitude and direction of a force. |
| Magnitude | numerical value or quantity, “how much.” |
| Newton’s Universal Law of Gravitation | EVERYTHING in the Universe if attracted to EVERY OTHER THING in the universe by a definite force, depending on their MASS and the DISTANCE between them. |
| Non Contact Force | forces between objects that interact with each other but are not in physical contact. Ex. Magnets, skydiver falling to Earth |
| Tension | the state of being stretched tight. |
| Weight | force of gravity on an object. You can have a different weight on the moon than you do on earth. |
