Amputation levels

Hemicorporectomy: Surgical removal of the pelvis and both lower extremities
Hemipelvectomy: Surgical removal of one half of the pelvis and the lower extremity
Hip Disarticulation: Surgical removal of the lower extremity from the pelvis
Transfemoral: Surgical removal of the lower extremity above the knee joint
Knee Disarticulation: Surgical removal through the knee joint
Transtibial: Surgical removal of the lower extremity below the knee joint
Symeʼs: Surgical removal of the foot at the ankle joint with removal of the malleoli
Chopartʼs: Disarticulation at the midtarsal joint
Transmetatarsal: Surgical removal of the midsection of the metatarsals
