What does simethicone/Mylicon do? reduces gas bubbles that cause bloating
What is the action for metoclopramide and who takes it? used for short term therapy of symptomatic PUD patients who fail to respond to first line agents
What are the side effects of magnesium? chalky taste, diarrhea, laxitive effect, electrolyte imbalance
What antacid would you take for magnesium deficiency? magnesium
What are the side effects of calcium? chalky taste, fecal impaction, peripheral edema, metabolic alkalosis, difficult urination
What antacid would you take for calcium deficiency? calcium
What are the side effects of aluminum? chalky taste, mild constipation, abdominal cramps, neurotoxicity in dialysis patients, hypercalcemia, osteoporosis, fecal impaction and peripheral edema
What antacid would you take if you had renal insufficiency? aluminum
What are the side effects of sodium? abdominal distension, flatulence
When do you take sodium? 1-3 hours after meals
When do you take aluminum? 1-3 hours after meals
When do you take calcium? .5 to 1 hour after meals

When do you take magnesium? not within two hours of other drugs
