QuestionAnswer
Instructional Methods Are the basic techniques used to promote learning.
Wait time The time between asking a question and calling on a student allows all students to mentally process the question and formulate replies.
Pacing Refers to the rate at which a teacher moves through the components of a lesson or the lessons throughout the day.
Closure Helps students draw conclusions based on what they have learned.
Moderator In a panel discussion, the person responsible for the introduction, summary, and relaying questions to the panel.
Skits Scripted stories that involve students in learning through acting out parts.
Simulations Learning activities that put students in a situation that feels real even though the situation is not. Students function within that environment.
Role Playing A type of ubscripted skit in which people take on particular roles and interact to resolve an issue or problem.
Productive Lab A lab experiance that focuses on producing an end product.
Experimental Lab A lab experiance that uses formal processes to research problems.
