Generic, Classification, & General Use

Brand Name - Generic - ClassGeneral Use
Vytorin - Ezetimibe/Simvastatin Antihyperlipidemic 2 med combo: Ezetimibe reduces the cholesterol amount your body absorbs from your diet. Simvastatin, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin), blocks an enzyme that's necessary for your body to make cholesterol.
Cymbalta - Duloxetine Antidepressant Affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression. Also treats fibromyalgia and pain caused by diabetic neuropathy.
Proventil - Albuterol Bronchodilator Treat/prevent bronchospasm in people with reversible obstructive airway disease.
Valium - Diazepam Benzodiazepine/C-IV Treats anxiety disorders or short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety and alcohol withdrawal.
Pravachol - Pravastatin Antihyperlipidemic Lowers high cholesterol and triglycerides. Increases HDL ("good" cholesterol levels)
Klor-Con - Potassium Chloride Mineral Treat/prevent low blood levels of potassium (hypokalemia).
Tylenol #3 - Acetaminophen w/Codeine Analgesic/Opiod/C-III Mild to moderately severe pain relief.
Fosamax - Alendronate Bisphosphonate Treat/prevent postmenopausal and steroid-induced osteoporosis and Paget's disease
Elavil - Amitriptyline Antidepressant Tricyclic antidepressant
Anaprox and Naprosyn - Naproxen NSAID Treats mild to moderate pain.
