QuestionAnswer
Structuralist A psychologist who is interested in and studies the basic elements of human experiences.
Introspection A method of self-observation in which trained participants reprot their thoughts, which psycologogists try to use to map out the basic structures of the thought process.
Functionalist A psycologist who studies how the mental processes of help animals and people adapt to their environment.
Phychoanalyst A psycologist who studies how unconcious motives and conflicts deetermine human behavior, and use methods such as free association and dream analysis.
Behaviorist Psycologists who stress investigating observable behaviors and who analyzes how organisms learn or modify their behavior based on their response to events in the environment.
Humanist A psycologist who describes human nature and believes that each person has freedom in directing his/her own future.
Cognitivist A psycologist who focuses on how we process, store, and use information and how this info influences our thinking, thinking, language, problem solving, and creativity.
Psychobiologist A psycologist who studies how the brain, the nervous system, and hormones and genetics influence our behavior.
