The PQ4R

QuestionAnswer
Preview previewing the subject matter in a textbook gives you an idea on what you are reading.
Question make questions about the subject matter in each chapter
Read read the chapter with the purpose of answering the questions.
Reflect think of examples or create mental images of the subject matter
Recite after you answer your questions recite them
Review reviewing material right before the test doesn't help as much as cramming right before a test
