QuestionAnswer
exigence what causes the author/speaker to make the argument? what "told" this person to to write/speak?
audience for whom is the writer writing? if the writer is calling for an action on the part of his or her readers, who will be capable of answering this call?
purpose what does the author want his or her audience to DO?
logos an appeal to the audiences logical, rational, and reasonable side. logical stucture ( claim, reason, evidence, warret)
pathos an appeal to the audiences emotions heart of the audience
ethos an appeal to the credibility to the author trust worthiness, reliable, beliveable does he or she have good will, good sense and good character
