These are terms for Mrs. Barnes's Science Test over Matter (12/14)

| solid | has a definite volume and a definite shape |
| liquid | has a definite volume, but no definite shape |
| gas | has no definite volume and no definite shape |
| evaporation | changing a liquid to a gas |
| melting | changing a solid to a liquid |
| boiling | changing a liquid to a gas |
