Treatment Relaxation exercises: rocking chair and rhythmic techniques, PNF, Rhythmic initiation, Jacobsen's progressive relaxation. Mobility exerc: postural and rotational activities, PNF, NDT. Balance:increase speed Flexibility: strengthen exten. stretch flex.
Gait Training Weight transference activities- walking forward and back, use devices.
Motor Learning Strategies Procedural learning is slower. External cueing help to facilitate movement.
Functional training Modify ADLs assets for adaptive equipment: clothing, firm chair with arm rest, shoes with leather soles. Adequate nutrition, breathing exercises,aerobic exercise, group training.
Activities That Should be Emphasized ROM, endurance,compensatory strategies, strengthening of extensors and stretching of flexors.
