Vocabulary WordsDefinitions
migrated When hunters and gatherers moved from one place to another to gather food.
bands Groups of people who hunted and gathered food across Africa's Sahara into Asia during the Paleolithic Age.
culture A way of life including its beliefs, customs, language, and arts.
society An organized group of people living and working under a set of rules and traditions.
extinct Animals that have died out completely, including: giant oxen, rhinoceroses, and mammoths.

archaelogist People who locate and study the things left behind by people.
division of labor When people do different tasks based on their abilities and the group's needs.
