Physical Science: Period Table Classwork

What does Periodic mean? Periodic means happening at regular intervals.
What is a periodic law? It is the law that states that the repeating chemical and physical properties of elements change periodically with the atomic numbers of the elemets.
Define a Period. a period, in chemistry, is a horizontal row of elements in the periodic table.
What is a group? A group is a vertical column of elements in the periodic table; elemnts in a group share chemical properties.
Define Alkali metals. They are elements in Group 1 of the periodic table.
What is akaline-earth metal? It is one of the lements of Group 2 of the periodic table.
Define Halogen. Halogen is one of the elements of Group 17 of the periodic table
What is noble gas? Noble gas is one of the elemnts of Group 18 of the periodic table.
