The Homospere
| Question | Answer |

| Troposhere | Ground level to 7 miles above sea level, called the "weather layer" where almost all weather phenomena occurs here. |
| Stratosphere | 7-30 miles above sea level, virtually no weather phenomena in this region or higher and virtually no water vapor. |
| Mesosphere | 30-50 miles above sea level, where the air is extremely thin but thick enough to protect us from meteors. |
| Tropopause | Boundary between the troposhere and the stratosphere. |
| Stratopause | Boundary between the stratosphere and the mesosphere. |
| Mesopause | Boundary between the mesosphere and the heterosphere. |
| Jet streams | Narrow bands of high speed winds that circle the earth blowing from west to east in the stratosphere. |
