Gas Laws 1
Physical Science Gas Laws
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Archimedes' Principle | The rule that the buoyant force on an object is equal to the weight of the fluid the object displaces. |
| Charles' Law | A principle that describes the relationship between the temperature and volume of a gas at constant pressure. |
| Buoyancy | The upward force exerted by a fluid on a submerged object. |
| Bernoulli's Principle | The rule that a stream of fast-moving fluid exerts less pessure than the surrounding fluid. |
| Boyle's Law | A principle that describes the relationship between the pressure and volume of a gas at constant temperature. |
| Pascal Principle | The rule that when force is applied to a confined fluid, the increase in pressure is transmitted equally to all parts of the fluid. |
| Pressure | The force exerted on a surface divide by the total area over which the force is exerted. |
| Density | The ratio of the mass of a substance to its volume. |
| Temperature | A measure of the average energy of motion of the particles of a substance. |
| Volume | The amount of space that matter occupies. |
