| What is the weather like in polar climates? | Cold all year round. Short, cold summers and long, even colder winters. |
| What is the vegetation like in the polar climates? | No trees, low shrubs, mosses, lichens, and few flowering plants. |

| Why is it so cold at the top of mountains? | A mountain is an example of vertical climate, where the climate changes according to the mountain's height. |
