Physical Changes

physical properties The characteristics of an object or substance that can be observed or measured.

freezing point the temperature at which a liquid freezes and changes to a soild
melting point the temperature at which a solid melts and changes to a liquid
boiling point the temperature at which a liquid boils and changes to a gas
mixture a combination of two or more substances taht have not combined chemically and that can be separated by physical means
solution a special type of mixture in which one substance is dissolved in another. The molecules of the two substances mix.
Solubility The ability to dissolve
alloy solutions of two or more solids
distillation the process of separing liquids by using evaporation and condensation.
