| Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) | A technician who has passed the national certification examination; the technician can use the abbreviation CPhT after his or her name |
| Closed door pharmacy | A pharmacy in which medications are called in from institutions, such as long-term care facilities, and are then delivered; closed door pharmacies are not open to the public |
| Communication | ability to convey information by speech, writing, signals, or behavior |
| Community Pharmacy | Also known as an outpatient or a retail pharmacy; these pharmacies serve patients in their communities; consumers can walk in and purchase a prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) drug. |
