Adaptation the process by which organisms become better at using their environment
Artificial Selection change in a species made to happen by people
Breed reproduce to make offspring
Environment a place where something lives or the conditions that surround something
Evolution a process in which traits are passed down from one generation to the next and change over time
Fit able to survive and reproduce
Mutation random change that occurs in genes
Natural Selection a theory that members of a species best suited to their environment will have more offspring and pass on their genes
Offspring babies or other new living things created by reproduction
Phylogeny study of how species are related and evolve
Speciation one species developing into two
Species a group of living things that are alike and breed with each other
