Biotic/Abiotic Factors

| ecosystem | a community of living organisms interacting with the nonliving parts of their environment. |
| interaction | the action of living things affecting one another or their surroundings. |
| organism | any individual living thing, such as a plant, animal, or fungus. |
| nonliving | anything that has never been alive, does not grow, and does not need food or water. |
| survive | to stay alive and function within an environment. |
| living | having life, growing, and needing energy to stay alive. |
