Microscope An instrument that uses a lens to make tiny things look larger.
Beaker Cylinder shaped glass container used to mix or heat liquids.
Graduated cylinder A container used to measure the volume of liquid.
Triple beam balance A tool used to measure mass. It features three beams with sliding parts.
Thermometer A tool that measures temperature.
Spring scale An instrument that measures Earth’s gravitational pull on an object.
Goggles An accessory that protects eyes from chemical or biological splatters or spills.
Eye wash station Sink that flushes the eyes and face with water to remove chemicals or irritants.
Lab safety rules Prevention against injury or harm
Fire extinguisher A piece of equipment that sprays chemicals to put out fires
Gloves An accessory that protects hands from heat, chemicals or biological splatters or spills.
Emergency An event that needs immediate action or assistance.
Hypothesis An educated guess about the outcome of the investigation. *testable investigation

Results/Conclusion An explanation based on your observation.
Variable A factor that can change in an experiment.
Constant Not changing; stays the same.
Proof Discovery; a sign or proof.
Lab safety- instructions Follow all instructions before beginning a lab.
