Properties of Matter (Physical Properties)

| conduct | the ability to transfer heat or electricity easily |
| conductors | materials that allow heat or electricity to pass through easily |
| conductivity | Allowing electricity/heat to pass |
| insulate | to prevent heat or electricity from passing through easily |
| insulator | materials that prevent heat or electricity from passing through easily |
| thermal energy | the energy from moving particles of matter;it can be transferred from one substance to another as heat |
| electrical energy | the energy of moving, charged particles |
| substance | matter with a certain set of properties |
| dissolve | the ability of a substance to dissolve in another |
| electric current | the flow of electricity |
| matter | anything that has mass and takes up space |
| particle | a tiny piece of matter |
