TermDefinition
Heterozygous recessive Heterozygous means having two different versions (alleles) of a gene. A recessive trait only shows up if an individual has two copies of that recessive allele.
Homozygous Dominant Homozygous dominant refers to a genetic condition where an individual inherits two identical, dominant versions (alleles) of a specific gene from both biological parents.
Homozygous recessive A homozygous recessive trait occurs when an individual inherits two identical, recessive versions (alleles) of a specific gene from both parents
Heterozygous Dominant Heterozygous dominant refers to a genetic combination where an individual inherits two different versions (alleles) of a specific gene from their parents—one dominant and one recessive
