Whats a richter scale A scale that measures earthquakes from 1 to 10 with 10 being the most powerful
Whats a mercalli scale A scale that measures the destruction of an earthquake from I (lowest) to XII (highest).
Describe the Haiti earthquake 2010 A 7 richter scale earthquake struck around port au prince in 2010. It killed 250k people and destroyed thousands of buildings , one of them was a prison which released criminals into the city. It costed haiti 8.5 billion in damages
Describe the Japanese 2016 earthquake A 7.2 richter scale earthquake struck Kumamto city in Japan. Around 32 people died and 200k homes were left without electricity and water.
