Neuron Recieves and transmits information
Thyroid Gland Regulates metabolism, energy, alertness, fat/thin. Too much: overexcitability, fatigue, insomnia. Too little: Overly tired
Motor Cortex Frontal Lobe responsible for voluntary movements.
GABA - Acetycholine - Endorphines G - Sleep & Eating disorders. A - Muscle actions, attention, memory, motivation, & movement. E - Inhibition of pain
Threshold of excitation The minimum it takes to keep a neuron from firing completely.
Pons Regulates the sleep-wake cycle
Dendrite Picks up incoming messages from other neurons and transmits them to cell bodies.
