| Esoteric | Understood by a chosen few due to specialized knowledge or interest |
| Euphemistic | Using a euphemism (referring to an unpleasant idea in a more pleasant way) |
| Exact | Verbatim (word for word), precise |
| Figurative | Serving as an illustration, not to be taken literally |

| Obtuse | Dull-witted; hard to comprehend (this word is used in an insulting way) |
