| Formidable (adj.) | something that is a bit frightening, but also impressive because of its size or another special quality |
| Relentlessly (adv.) | when something continues to happen steadily and it never stops |
| Musings (n.) | Janie’s musings took her back to the time when she first learned how to ski |
| Sentimental (adj.) | something that has to do with feelings and is often about the past |
| Prefer (v.) | to like it better than something else |
| Engulfed (v.) | when one thing is surrounded or completely covered by another |
| Audible (adj.) | a sound that is loud enough to hear |
| Will (n.) | a legal document that tells what someone wants done with his or her belongings after that person dies |
