| Red Flag Feeling | When something happens on digital media that makes you feel uncomfortable, worried, sad, or anxious |
| Phishing | When someone poses as an institution, like a bank or a school, and sends you a personalized message asking you to provide private information |
| Active Digital Footprint | Information you choose to share online, like when you post, comment, or fill out forms |
| Passive Digital Footprint | Information you choose to share online, like when you post, comment, or fill out forms |
| Private Information | Information about you that can be used to identify you because it's unique to you (e.g., your full name or your address) |
| Digital Drama | When people use devices, apps, or websites to start or further a conflict between people |
| De-escalate | To lessen the intensity or anger in a conflict |
| Credible | Able to be believed; trustworthy |
| Bias | Having preference for one thing over another in a way that’s unfair |
| Corroboration | An additional source that confirms or supports a news story, article, or piece of information |
| Shortened URL | A compressed web link that may hide a risky site |
