(D) The cell would have no energy to complete tasks. Ribosomes are small organelles that make proteins. A cell would be unable to make proteins and proteins would become less common if ribosomes disappeared from the cell. The answer is B and C.
What might happen if the mitochondria of a cell disappeared? (A) DNA would disappear. (B) Cellular respiration would not occur. (C) The cell would be unable to produce proteins. (D) The cell would have no energy to complete tasks. Mitochondria are the sites of cellular respiration that releases energy for the cell. The answer is B and D.
What might happen if the vacuoles of a cell disappeared? (A) Water would not pass into the cell (B) The cell would would not produce energy (C) The cell would not produce proteins (D) The cell would not store water, nutrients, and wastes Vacuoles store water, waste, and other matter for the cell. The answer is D.
