Pyro - fire, Scope - watch, see

Pyromania An obsessive desire to start fires
Pyrotechnics The art of making or using fireworks or other explosive devices
Pyrolysis The chemical decomposition of a substance by heat
Pyrometer An instrument used to measure high temperatures
Pyrogenic Produced by or related to heat
Pyrophobia An irrational fear of fire
Pyrite A mineral, also known as "fool's gold," that can produce sparks when struck
Pyroclastic Relating to or consisting of volcanic debris (literally, fire-broken)
Autopyrolysis Self-heating decomposition, typically in organic materials
Pyrography The art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks
Telescope An instrument for observing distant objects by collecting and magnifying light
Microscope An instrument used to view very small objects by magnifying them
Scope The range or extent of something; the opportunity to observe or explore
Periscope An instrument for viewing objects from a hidden or submerged position (Ex. on submarines)
Endoscope A medical instrument used to examine the inside of a body
Stethoscope An instrument used by doctors to listen to internal sounds of a patient's body, like the heartbeat
Kaleidoscope A device that produces changing patterns of color and shape through mirrors, often used for observation
Horoscope A prediction of a person's future based on the positions of celestial bodies, often "observed" or interpreted in astrology
Scopic Relating to the act of looking or observing
Gyroscope A device used to measure or maintain orientation and angular velocity by spinning
