Unit 7.1 Energy

Energy and energy transformations

QuestionAnswer
Ways to decrease the amount of magnetic forces pulling on two magnets use weak magnets, use opposite sides of the magnet, or move the magnets further apart.
When showing weaker forces on a model the arrows should be smaller as the distance between the magnets increase.
A car traveling down a track the kinetic energy is affected by mass and the speed of the car.
To make the water splash further from the pool the more kinetic energy the object has jumping into the pool the distance the water will splash will increase.
The slower an object moves ( the slower its speed) the less kinetic energy the object will have
To increase the amount of gravitational potential energy in a system simply increase the height of the object in the system.
If I want to get more energy output, then increase the speed of the input. The more energy you put into the system, the more energy will come out of the system.
When using a fidget spinner generator, the magnets used in the generator system when spinning over the coper coil transform the kinetic energy into electrical energy which lights the bulb.
