These are valid and Invalid argument froms

TermDefinition
Modus Ponens - Valid If p, then q. P. So, q.
Modus Tollens - Valid If p, Then q. Not q. So, not p.
The hypothetical Syllogism - Valid If p, Then q. If q, then r. So, if p, then r.
The disjunctive Syllogism - Valid p or q. Not p. SO, q.
Valid catigorical syllogism - Valid All As are B. S is an A. so, S is a B.
Affirming the Consequent - Invalid If p, then q. q. So, p.
Denying the antecedent - Invalid if p, Then q. Not p. So, not q.
Invalid Catigorical syllogism - Invalid All As are B. S is B. So S is A.
