| Impact Assessment | Evaluating the potential effects of a proposed change on cost, time, quality, and risk. |
| Change Log | A record of all change requests, their status, and decisions made throughout the project lifecycle. |
| Configuration Management | The process of maintaining consistency of a product’s performance and attributes throughout its life cycle. |
| Baseline | The approved version of a plan or specification that serves as a reference point for measuring progress and changes. |
| Change Control Board (CCB) | A group responsible for reviewing, approving, or rejecting change requests. |
| Authorisation | Formal approval to implement a change after evaluation and decision-making. |
| Scope Creep | Uncontrolled changes or continuous growth in a project’s scope without proper approval. |
