| Mechano-receptors | Respond to mechanical pressure or distortion. |
| Kinesthetic Receptors | Detects body position and movement. |
| Thermo-receptors | Respond to changes in temperature. |
| Noci-receptors | Detect painful stimuli. |
| Tactile receptors | Called "mechanoreceptors" because they respond to mechanical stimulation (pressure, vibration, or movement) |
| Meissner corpuscles | fast adaptation, small receptive field (FA I) |
