| Eightfold Path | The guide to right living that leads to Nirvana. |
| Nirvana | Buddhism's ultimate goal: end of suffering and rebirth. |
| Ahimsa | Ethical principle of non-violence toward all living things. |
| Ashoka | Indian emperor who helped spread Buddhism across Asia. |
| Mahayana | Buddhist school emphasizing the Bodhisattva ideal (helping others). |
