| What’s marble | Marble was formerly limestone founded in destructive plate boundaries. The colour varies by counties from white to green to red. They are used for kitchen countertops. |
| What’s quartzite | Quartzite was formerly sandstone founded in destructive plate boundaries. They are grey or red and can be found in crough Patrick, county Mayo. They are used for tiles and paving. |
