Convey To communicate or make an idea, feeling, or message known or understandable.
Emphasize To give special importance or prominence to something.
Conflict A serious disagreement or struggle.

Characters The people, animals, or creatures that take part in a story.
Plot The sequence of events in a story.

Stanza A group of lines forming a basic unit in a poem; a verse.
Poet A person who writes poems.
Speaker The voice that "speaks" the words of a poem.
Figurative language Language that uses words or expressions with a meaning different from the literal.

Outcome The way a thing turns out; a consequence.
Illustrate To show or explain something.

Optimistic Hopeful and confident about the future.
Play A dramatic work intended for the stage, with dialogue and stage directions.
On the fly Done quickly, without preparation, and in a hurry.
Rap A type of music.
Hopeless Feeling or causing despair about something.
Encouraged Given support, confidence, or hope.
Plain Without decorations or complications (e.g., plain water).
