Gestalt Laws of Perceptual Organization
| Term | Definition |

| Proximity * | You tend to want to group things seen together because they are together, even if they aren't supposed to be. |
| Closure* | The way that the brain is able to perceive stimuli that isn't seen as whole/complete through the eyes. |
| Similarity* | The tendency for the brain to perceive elements similarly visually to belong to the same groups. |
| Common Fate | You perceive things that are moving in the same direction as at the same speed, or as a group. |
| Continuity | The tendency to perceive things that are arranged in a line/curve as more related than things that aren't. |
