Transformation

Math flashcards

TermDefinition
Axis a center line or a reference line that helps define rotation or location
Congruent when two figures are congruent, they have the exact same size and shape
Coordinates a way to pinpoint an exact location on a map or graph using a pair of numbers
Image an image is the new figure that results after a transformation is applied to an original figure
Line Reflection a type of transformation where a figure is flipped across a line, called the line of reflection
Map a function that takes every point of the original figure and matches it up with a new point in a different location or orientation
