Acid A acid is any pH under 7
Base A base is any pH over 7
Litmus A dye obtained from certain lichens that is red under acid conditions and blue under alkaline conditions
pH scale A pH scale is used to tell us how acidic or basic a substance is
neutral A neutral is a pH of 7 and only 7
universal indicator Universal indicator changes colours depending on the pH of the solution to which is added
corrosive Anything basic or acidic can be corrosive, but corrosive means to be toxic like
