| flutter | is a rapid but regular contraction of atria or ventricles |

| congenital heart diseases | are abnormalities in the heart at birth |
| congestive heart failure | is when the heart is unable to pump its required amount of blood |
| pulmonary edema | is when blood accumulates in the lungs |
| coronary artery disease | is disease of the arteries surrounding the heart |
| hypertensive heart disease | is when high blood pressure is affecting the heart |
| murmur | is an extra heart sound that is heard between normal beats |
| pericarditis | is inflammation of the membrane surrounding the heart |
| aneurysm | is a ballooning out of a small area of an artery caused by weakness |
| varicose veins | are abnormally swollen and twisted veins that usually occur in the legs |
